About Us

Nature Trail – Your Companion for Mindful Discoveries

We are a small team of travelers and nature lovers who seek out quiet places off the beaten path. Our platform is for anyone who wants to find peace in nature and gather conscious experiences – without haste, without pressure to perform.

Who we work for

Our content is written for people who want to escape everyday life and draw new strength from the silence of the landscape. Whether you are traveling alone, with friends, or with family – we show you ways to experience nature with open senses.

Quiet routes, clear thoughts

Our approach

We avoid loud advertising and exaggerated promises. Instead, we share honest reports about hikes, kayak tours, and forest bathing. Each contribution comes from personal experience and is meant to help you find your own connection to nature.

Real, slow, direct

What sets us apart

Our tone is calm and respectful. We don't speak of healing or miracles, but of the small moments: the light through the treetops, the sound of a stream, the stillness of a fjord in the morning. That is exactly what we want to share with you.

Mindfulness without pathos

Our Journey North

What began as a small idea is now a platform for everyone seeking peace in the silence of nature. The key milestones of our development.

Naturpfad

Our goal is to connect people with the quiet side of the landscape – without haste, without pressure of expectation.

Frequently Asked Questions about Nature Travel

Answers to the most important questions about mindful discoveries and journeys into stillness.

What equipment do I need for a multi-day kayaking tour?

In addition to a stable sea kayak and spray deck, we recommend waterproof dry bags, a life jacket with a whistle, a map of the region, and warm functional clothing. For the Norwegian fjords, a wetsuit or dry suit is advisable, as the water remains cool even in summer. Plan for sufficient drinking water and high-energy food – on remote stages, there are no places to stop for refreshments.

What is forest bathing and how does a session work?

Forest bathing (Shinrin Yoku) is a mindful practice where you walk slowly through the forest and consciously absorb the sensory impressions – the rustling of leaves, the scent of moss, the play of light through the treetops. A guided session usually lasts two to three hours and includes simple exercises such as walking barefoot on soft forest floor or lingering at a special spot. It is not about performance, but about immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the forest.

Which locations in the Alps are particularly suitable for astrophotography?

High-altitude areas with low light pollution are especially suitable, such as the Engadin in Switzerland, the Karwendel Mountains in Tyrol, or the area around the Grossglockner. Important factors are a clear view to the south for the Milky Way and a stable surface for the tripod. Check the moon phase in advance – new moon nights provide the darkest skies. Altitude also plays a role: from about 2000 meters, the air is usually clearer and drier.

Can I participate in a guided nature trip alone?

Yes, most of our tours are open to solo travelers. The groups are small – usually between four and eight people – creating a personal atmosphere. Many guests come alone and appreciate the peace and the opportunity to fully engage with nature. Upon request, we can arrange contact with other participants beforehand if you would like to travel together.

How sustainable are the offered trips and activities?

We work exclusively with local providers who adhere to environmentally friendly practices. Kayaking tours are motor-free, forest bathing walks stay on existing paths, and for photography tours we recommend traveling by public transport. Additionally, we offset the CO₂ emissions of each trip through a certified climate protection project. Detailed information on sustainability criteria is available upon request.
